PLA is used in a wide range of applications: food
packaging, beverage containers, cars, electronic, housing etc. Two
types of material are identified: the nearly 100% PLA and the
composite material.
The shelf-life of the finished products depends on the material.
The whole quantity of waste has been separated into three different
categories:
• “post-industrial” wastes that consists into the
out-of specification material or objects produced during the trial runs,
• “short-loop” wastes that are locally generated
during a defined period (cups during a music-festival, carpets during an
exhibition, catering in the airplanes, etc),
• and “post-consumer” wastes.
LOOPLA® is able to treat all the PLA wastes regardless of their origins.
